My parents and I drove down to central St Louis County a few weeks ago to watch my youngest niece Courtney, run in her district meet at one of the Parkway Schools. She ran there last fall as well and there was some fantastic color there last year, but this year, it seemed like fall had not arrived yet, as far as the colors go that is. The cooler temps were definitely here. Courtney attends Eureka High School and even though their school colors are purple and gold, the girls cross country team always wears pink that day to support Breast Cancer Awareness….

…here they are coming back across the starting line and heading down the hill toward the finish line for the first leg, then they will come back up the hill under the fall maples….
…then they ran over to the far side of the grounds, which would be the far south side, and then back across and here she is running back down the hill toward the finish line, under those fall colored maples….
