Normally, I don`t cover brush fires unless there is something more to them…on Sunday afternoon, February 23rd, I heard Ray Enloe call Washco and ask for a tanker to be dispatched to the call, so I drove over to see what was going on. Turns out someone tossed a cigarette out of their vehicle on East West Road and it took off burning up a vacant lot between two residences, getting up close enough to one residence to inflict quite a bit of damage to the vinyl siding, and also consumed a brush pile in the lot….
…that is firefighter Jacob Dace on the fire hose below….
…he did a good job making sure that fire didn`t get going again.
