I dont get a good chance to photograph Ray Enloe very often at fire calls, as he is normally the Engineer on the Pumper or Tanker at the scene, but last week I was able to photograph him on the red line at another grass fire in the district…this one accidentally ignited by a welding operation at a private farm. Ray and his crew, Davey Sumpter and Dave Konyss were standing out in the grassy field while Ray sprayed down smoldering cowpatties….

Sunbeams and Sunsets
I dont always get to shoot the sunbeams that I see and some can be a challenge to photograph and capture as well, due to the contrast involved. But I still try !!
I was on my way to work the other evening and spotted this one forming up and so I returned home after shooting two photos of it with my phone camera and shot these two from the ballpark by the City Pool….the sky was an amazing blue and I tweaked it just a bit with my editing program to really bring it out and show the sunbeams better….
…and here is one I shot in Maplewood on my way to work a few weeks ago as well….
and some of the sunsets I have photographed since the middle of July have been awesome….this one at work….
…a few nights later at the ballpark in Sullivan….
same evening, little later down on Main Street by our Main Fire Station, with the flag at half mast….
the next one at the main FSCB Bank same evening….
…and the fire station once again….
..and this is a set of pretty pine trees not far from my home where the sun sets right down next to them….
