Onyx and I were on our way to do some rockhunting down by Viburnum the first weekend of March…as we were traveling down Hwy 49 south of Cherryville, we started seeing some snow on the side of the road. All we had at home was a little frost, but to the south, it was apparent they had seen some snow that morning, and as we got closer to the turn off to Dillard Mill, the more snow we saw, so we turned and drove over to the mill to see if there was more snow there….and there was….
